For laminated wood: tools made of steel

Tools made of tool steel are mainly used in the production of Festholz® or Pagholz® and are characterised by an extremely long service life.

Steel tools allow a very high compression of the veneer layers. Electric or heat transfer heating is possible. The use of a steel press mould with a pinching edge is particularly advantageous, as the moulding edge is completely formed here, which minimises subsequent finishing of the edges. Such a press mould separates the finished part from the surrounding waste by its pinching edge during the pressing process.

For further refinement of the press surfaces, they can of course be chrome plated or any surface structure can be etched in.
